Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the repair services, promotions, and your use of the website www.printerexperts.com.au (the “Website”) and any contract (service agreement) between www.PrinterExperts.com.au (“we”, “us”, “our”, “PrinterExperts”) and you, the customer (“you”, “your”, “Customer”). By submitting a repair request, placing an order, or using our Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

1.1 Service scope

We offer repair, maintenance, and related services for medium to large laser printers, photocopiers, and plotters only. Inkjet printers and small home printers are excluded from any discounts.

1.2 On-site or workshop repair

Repairs may be carried out on-site at your location, or at our workshop, at our discretion. You may be responsible for transporting the device to/from our premises if the machine was delivered by you (the customer) to our on-site repair centre and it is not feasible to repair on-site.

1.3 Parts and materials

We may use new, refurbished, or equivalent parts as required. We warrant that the parts used are appropriate and meet relevant standards.

2. Promotional Discount (“50% Off First Call”)

2.1 Offer eligibility

The “50% off first call” discount is subject to the following conditions:

  • It applies only to medium to large laser printers, photocopiers or plotters (not inkjet).
  • It applies only if your location is within 10 km radius of Parramatta or 10 km radius of North Sydney.
  • It applies only to the first repair call / service job that you engage with us.
  • The discount is off our standard call out rate (parts are quoted and charged unless otherwise specified).
  • The discount does not apply to devices outside the specified regions or to ineligible devices.
  • Other terms or fees (e.g., travel, parts, diagnostic, call-out charge) still apply unless explicitly waived.

We reserve the right to refuse to apply the discount if your device or location does not meet these conditions.

2.2 “Conditions apply”

You agree that “50% off first call *conditions apply” is part of this on-site/workshop service call-out agreement. These fine print conditions form an essential part of the offer.

3. Quotes, Acceptance & Payment

3.1 Estimates / quotes

We may provide you with a written or verbal estimate before attending site and workshop repair or commencing repair. Estimates are based on the condition as observed. If additional faults are found during repair, we will notify you and may offer a revised quote before proceeding.

3.2 Acceptance

By responding (in writing, email or verbally) to proceed, you accept the job and the charges.

3.3 Payment terms

Payment is due at the completion of the repair/service, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may retain the repaired device until payment is made. All payments are in AUD and are quoted Ex GST and invoiced inclusive of GST (if applicable).

4. Warranty & Limitations

4.1 3-Month Warranty

We provide a 3-month warranty on labour and parts, provided that:

  • The fault is the same issue as originally repaired.
  • The device remains in the same location as at the time of repair.
  • The device has not been misused, tampered with, or subjected to external damage or neglect.

If the same fault recurs within 3 months (and meets the above conditions), we will re-service the device free of labour and parts. If the fault is different, repair will be treated as a new job and charged accordingly.

4.2 What is excluded

This warranty does not cover:

  • New faults or unrelated issues.
  • Consumables (e.g. fusers, drums, toner) unless explicitly included.
  • Damage due to misuse, unauthorised repairs, fire, water, power surges, or external factors.
  • Transportation damage if the device is moved after the original repair.

4.3 Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), including statutory guarantees, to the extent they cannot be excluded.

5. Call-Outs, Travel & Diagnostics

5.1 Call-out / travel charges

A travel or call-out fee will apply; the fee depends on your location. The fee may be waived or reduced if your location falls within our standard service region or as part of a promotional offer.

5.2 Diagnostic fee

We will charge a diagnostic fee if no repair is performed (e.g., the device is deemed irreparable or you decline the repair). The diagnostic fee will be disclosed before the site visit or workshop delivery.

6. Limits of Liability & Disclaimers

6.1 No liability for data loss

We are not responsible for any data loss, damage, or software issues that may occur during repair. You must back up all data before repair.

6.2 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the cost of repair services performed. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages.

6.3 Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay to perform arising from events beyond our reasonable control.

7. Intellectual Property & Website Use

7.1 Website content

All content, logos, text, graphics, and images on the Website are owned or licensed by us. You may not reproduce or use them except for personal use or as permitted under copyright law.

7.2 User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Website for unlawful or prohibited purposes.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Interfere with the Website’s operation or security.
  • Use bots or automated means to access or scrape data.

7.3 User submissions / feedback

If you provide reviews, feedback, or other submissions, you grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, or distribute them without further approval.

8. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Website and provision of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to Terms & Website

9.1 Variation

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting updated terms on the Website. Your continued use of our services or Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9.2 No notice required

We are not required to provide individual notice of changes, but may do so at our discretion.

10. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

10.1 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

10.2 Dispute process

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to negotiate in good faith to resolve the matter. If unresolved within 30 days, either party may initiate formal proceedings.

11. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If part of these Terms is invalid, the remainder still applies.
  • Assignment: We may assign or subcontract our rights or obligations. You may not assign your rights without our written consent.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms, plus any accepted quote, represent the full agreement between you and us.
